Here fell the comet that lies
deep within the bowels of the Earth,
rotting amongst the spoils
of what we used to call mankind,
whose extinction
was caused by
the crippling absence of salvation
they felt when they watched the star falling right
here, where the comet now lies
deep within the core of humanity,
cast right where it belongs.
By the end of this catastrophe ember’s still
burning, lashing out tiny bits of new hope.

and go around, safe and sound, free to stand on our feet.
A miracle creation we espouse”.

Iron in clay.
The anchor sways at the bottom of the bay.
"Swaying boats are the worst".
Tie our long ropes to the cleats by the shore.
Each aching time a rope is brought at me,
I long for hope and good intentions.
The savant man that once belonged in me,
cries in depth the loss of fervor.

awaiting us who bathe in servitude.

coughing up the dust and sand of old glories.

This might be the least folky of the Wobbler releases and I wasn't sure about it at all. After a few listens however I'm loving the inventiveness and the endless melodies, all driven along by Kristian Hultgren's wonderful percussive bass.

Dette er et fantastisk verk hvor det synges på norsk! Det siste setter en spiss på det hele. Lydbildet er åpent og dynamisk og man føler seg hensatt til 1970-tallets progressive rock. Dette ble oppdaget helt tilfeldig da jeg skulle sette igang dagens dont på hjemmekontoret og hadde litt arbeidsvegring og sveipa innom Bandcamp. Så ble hjemmekontoret utsatt litt til da jeg så klart måtte høre hele greia..😉. Takk for en flott musikalsk opplevelse en vinterdag i januar 2024.

Soothfully a phenomenal prog rock album—an instant classic. What motivates me to say so, is the music’s incredible expressiveness & its wonderfully cinematic song structures. Jargon is a very good fit with this band. It is quite evident that the band’s current lineup have great chemistry together & that they share a common affinity to this vein of music. I look forward to their next creation. Drifting Sun are definitely one of prog rock’s brightest lights. Thank you, DS! 9+/10.
